Mine is DEV300_m51, so it's not the 3.1.1 branch but still an upstream
build.  I don't have any 3.1.1 upstream build, so unfortunately I can't
verify it there...

Having said that, since the said patch is still not integrated upstream
even in the DEV300 branch, I doubt that patch is the culprit.  But of
course, to verify that, someone would have to dig in the code to find
out what's going on...
