<pre>The problem in Ubuntu 13.10/saucy is an incompatibility with X.org 1.14 that
was fixed upstream with this commit:
<a href="http://cgit.freedesktop.org/openchrome/xf86-video-openchrome/commit/?id=17973712f083100cc041d50fca30e248846e5fd2">http://cgit.freedesktop.org/openchrome/xf86-video-openchrome/commit/?id=17973712f083100cc041d50fca30e248846e5fd2</a>
So openchrome versions beginning with 0.3.2 should work. You could verify this
by using the original Debian sid package from here:
<a href="http://packages.debian.org/de/sid/xserver-xorg-video-openchrome">http://packages.debian.org/de/sid/xserver-xorg-video-openchrome</a>
Or simply by using the openchrome package from my Ubuntu PPA:
<a href="https://launchpad.net/~bigboss77/+archive/ppa">https://launchpad.net/~bigboss77/+archive/ppa</a>
I'll also comment regardingly in your Ubuntu bug if above fixes your Problem.
Kind regards,
Thomas</pre>
