Sorry for you having to pay $22 for a DVI single link cable at Best Buy.

I spent about 2 hours so far in the car today analyzing why the DDC (I2C bus)
is not working well.
So far I have not found a solution or something for you to try, but I will keep
analyzing the source code of the portion that deals with DDC.
