The test version on my distro is 2.1. It can live side by side with LCMS1. Applications need to specifically include the LCMS2 headers to use it and some of the API is different although porting from LCMS1 to LCMS2 appears to be fairly easy. LCMS2 has some advantages over LCMS1. For example it is thread safe where as LCMS1 is not. In addition many of it functions for things like creating and running transforms is more optimized than LCMS1. It should be fairly easy to create an LCMS2 CMS plug in for GS by cloning the LCMS1 plug in code and fixing up the includes and various calls.</p>
