For example both LProf and ArgyllCMS can be used to create camera and scanner profiles and we have RAW processing and scanner software that can use these profiles. So users who care about not creating "garbage in" images can do so right now in fairly straight forward ways that do not require a high level of color expertise. There are still things that can be done to improve this part of things and in the long run it would be helpful if this were easier for naive users. But we do have working systems for this that can be used by non-experts. In stark contrast CM in printing work flows are still very primitive and requires a much higher level of color expertise since many of the steps must be done manually. In addtion it is much more complex than the input side. As a result the print system is currently nearly impossible for non-expert users to color manage. This complexity and inmaturity are why we are currently focused on printing. Hal</body></html>
