Jan-Peter, Additional detail for the print preview workflow -- Note -- the profile selected for the printer should depend on a number of settings, not only the media. <tt>1) Implement the possibility of softproof workflows in the application: documentICC->softproofICC->DisplayRGB 2)Deliver a solution, where the installed PrinterICC profiles for the current CUPS queues are communicated via Oyranos or g-c-m to applications (e.g. both CUPS queue name an printer profile name could be communicated via Oyranos /g-c-m to the application. 3) Choose (CUPS-queue name / printer profile) for softproof </tt> 4) Clarify whether the workflow will use preview tags or the actual B2A and A2B tags. 5) Clarify whether the user will have the option to control 'apply auto-preference' (which means use the perceptual RI) or 'apply maintain colors' (which means use the media-relative RI). 6) Clarify that then the RI sequence should be: for A2B of source profile(s) of the document and B2A of the printer profile -- use the selected RI of step 5, then use the media-relative colorimetric RI of the A2B of the printer profile combined with the media-relative colorimetric RI of the B2A of the display RGB profile. In certain cases for more advanced use cases it may be important to be able to separately control the RI selection for the A2B of the source profile(s) of the document and the RI selection for the B2A of the printer profile -- so if this can be allowed please do so.  If you would like some examples where this is desirable let me know.
