[packagekit] Is there a way to invoke packagekit from the command line?

Thanks.  That seems to give the diagnostic information I wanted:

[docbill at hartnell ~]$ gpk-application
gpk-application: symbol lookup error: gpk-application: undefined symbol:
pk_control_new


Now I just need to figure out where pk_control_new is suppose to be defined.
