I think someone should write a PackageKit backend for the Smart Package Manager.&nbsp; I&#39;d be happy to work on it but might not have enough free time before 2008.<br><br>I&#39;ve found Smart to be faster and more reliable than Apt/Yum on DEB/RPM distributions.&nbsp; It downloads multiple packages simultaneously and seems to have an advanced dependency resolver.&nbsp; Here&#39;s the URL:
