Adding

fence = glFenceSync(GL_SYNC_GPU_COMMANDS_COMPLETE, 0);
glClientWaitSync(fence, GL_SYNC_FLUSH_COMMANDS_BIT, GL_TIMEOUT_IGNORED);

before updating the UBOs seems to fix it. I assume that's expected and
I should just send that in a v2?
