For the first half of the question... I got at three off-list questions about this commit, so I figured It'd be a good idea to at least give some background to make things easier. The basic premise is that CMake 2.8 has received a ton of updates that can will be useful in making cmake easier to handle. One of the major improvements is the ExternalProject module that will allow the easy building of external source trees during configuration. This is extremely useful since it means that some dependencies like the OpenCL ICD and Waffle can be built and installed dynamically without having any developer interaction.

As for the second half of the question... I sometimes post responses from a mobile phone and that makes things a little harder... Also most modern web-based email providers all use top quotes.
