From jim.vzit at protonmail.com Mon Jul 11 18:55:28 2022 From: jim.vzit at protonmail.com (jim.vzit) Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2022 18:55:28 -0000 Subject: Attn: Ray Strode - Plymouth Documentation Question Message-ID: tl:dr I've created an animation for Qubes and ran into a brick wall tyring to get it work with Fedora 36. Could use some help with documentation. cheers, Jim extended version... I contacted Hans de Goede about a month ago regarding finding some Plymouth documentation that would help me create my own Plymouth animations from scratch (e.g., script the *.plymouth file and install in Fedora 36). Hans recommended I reach out via GitLab, but though I now have an account, I can't seem to find the Plymouth project. Fast forward a month, and I've done a lot of due dilligence with the research, including a deep dive into the original project documentation (e.g., plymouth.xml) and some great articles. However, I'm stuck at understanding the plymouth.script file, how to create one and ulimately install a cool Qubes animation I worked up. Attached are my notes that I've worked up into a document I'd like to share with Qubes wiki and anyone else interested. The goal is to provide documentation on three levels: casual user, creation of themes and aministration. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
