I've just tried the latest poppler from git and the rendering seems to be much
better. However, poppler has still some spacing issues unlike xpdf. See the
attached screenshot (I've used poppler's pdftoppm, I hope that's ok):
- ' in Wouldn't
- S in Sandeep
- ll and fi in specifically
etc.
