ok. sorry for the noise. it is working.

the first time i compiled poppler before cairo. and got it all wrong.

now that i compile cairo 1.9.4 before poppler all is fine in evince and the
test.pdf is rendered ok. 
and this time i got #define CAIRO_HAS_BLEND_MODES 1
