Two pdf's: one is displayed correctly, the other is not.

The summation and product symbols, which are produced using the standard LaTex
macros \sum and \prod, are not displayed correctly.

I attach two pdf's: one of them is displays the symbols correctly, whereas the
other shows the problem.
