Hhmmm, I seem not to be able to figure out myself how to get 'make distcheck'
working with the current sources. Do you have a recipe to do it? Something
like:

git clone git://git.freedesktop.org/git/poppler/poppler
cd poppler
git clone git://git.freedesktop.org/git/poppler/test
./configure
make
make check
make distcheck

... but than in some order that it actually works?

(I actually created the patch here because I could not get it to work
otherwise, but if it can be done without adding the complexity, so much the
better).
