Seems like I resolved this issue by upgrading to the latest 2.8 Cmake (beta).<br>Unfortunately the CMAKE_OSX_ARCHITECTURES variable is nowhere documented; I just find references to it in mailing lists, which doesn't make it feel good to use.<br>

</div>I generated my makefile for the wrapper with qmake rather than cmake,<br>
mostly for the sake of familiarity. I do seem to have an "i386" dylib<br>
as a result.<br>
