[Portland] SVG support?

Hello,

Almost a year ago xdg-utils dropped SVG icon support as it was not
suppoerted in some DEs.
This issue has greatly improved, and for example KDE4 makes intensive
use of SVG.

I simply fail to see the reason why xdg-utils is still not supporting
it. Shouldn't SVG support be added again?
