Comment (by coling):

I hate to point out flaws in such a perfect bug report but you don't seem
to mention a version number (Note to Lennart, why is the version field not
 in Trac anymore?)

I also note that you said your idxset.c is based on 0.9.2... Is this
correct? 0.9.2 is '''really''' old asn 0.9.11 is the current official
release. I've not looked at the code as it's not a part of pulse I'm
familiar with but did you check to make sure that the git master version
 is not already fixed?

If possible can you submit any fixes in the form of a diff? You can do
this via {{{git diff}}} or even by comparing the original version of the
file to the one with your changes using {{{diff -u idxset.c.orig idxset.c
 >myidxset.c.patch}}} and then attaching the patch file. This makes it easy
to see what has changed and will also still work (usually) if other parts
of the file have been changed in the mean time.

 Thanks :)
