 Hrm.  OK.  Thanx for clarifying.  FWIW, "another instance" in the problem
 description could very well have meant simply another instance of "volume
 control" -- which is why I was unsure.  Simply another volume control
 (somewhere) would have been rather easier to work around that having to
 re-roll the packages with the patch.  But re-rolling I guess is what I
 will do.

 Indeed.  I use it in this manner frequently.
