Comment:

 I'm afraid that padevchooser is dead and is no longer actively developed.

 I will be adding a notification system to pulseaaudio daemon itself at
 some point in the not too distant future (for various values of "not
 too"). to provide nice popups etc. plus more advanced functionality.
