 Glad it's working for you but please also be aware that there should be no
 need for this manual tweaking. Both pavucontrol and gnome-sound-
 preferences both allow you to set the default device (although they do
 both do slightly different things internally). Pulse should remember and
 restore this choice for you via the file {{{~/.pulse/<machineid>-default-
 sink}}} and {{{~/.pulse/<machineid>-default-source}}}. So really there
 should be no need for this manual tweaking.
