#467: padsp does not honor 'default' Output Device selected via PA Volume Control

  Reporter: tcwan | Owner: lennart
      Type: defect | Status: new
  Priority: normal | Milestone:
 Component: padsp | Severity: normal
Resolution: | Keywords: default sink

Comment (by tcwan):

That's well and good, except that only esd-compat (Gnome Alerts) and
paplay seems to be compliant with the behavior you described. I'm not
talking about dynamically switching default outputs immediately upon
modifying the 'default' sink in PA Vol Control [this seems to be the
'active default' behavior you're describing?], this is when I logout of my
account and relogin (and verifying that the 'default' sink is still the
 one I changed it to.

Rhythmbox (gstreamer) does not (it always sends output to the USB Audio),
neither does padsp nor 'aplay -Dpulse' (both always sends output to the
onboard sound chip). I'm seeing this especially after I defined a combined
sink to send output streams to both the USB speakers and the onboard sound
 chip simultaneously.
