Comment:

 Bug still present in 0.9.22 (on Gentoo)

 The fact that there's a workaround in Gnome doesn't make it any less of a
 bug.

 As far as I see the solution should be to either:
 1) Fix the code
 2) Remove the option from the configuration file and supporting docs and
 programs
