 Most likely fixed with
 http://git.0pointer.de/?p=pulseaudio.git;a=patch;h=8d356659e69556fa25d0579a66084f820683e2b8

 Please reopen if this does not in fact fix the problem. (it might be that
 pa's devcie access got suspended for some reason and cannot unsuspend it
 because some other app took the opportunity to block the audio device,
 which causes everything to stay stuck)
