 Can't check on that, I'm afraid. As this Wiki points out that Ubuntu
 librarys are outdated, I chose to update and install latest pulseaudio and
 licanberra directly from sources. That fixed my pulseaudio problems, no
 crashes anymore, and skype can be routed through pulseaudio with good
 sound quality now.

 I am only experiencing some problems with remapped sinks (to split up
 sound card), currently. Might post a bug on that when I have time to
 investigate on that further.
