Good that the crash was found now rather than after a release. I updated the
patch, hopefully it doesn't crash any more:

I don't think the patch should affect the automatic switching to the iec958
profile when you unplug the headphones. Can you attach the output of "pactl
list cards" when headphones are unplugged? (Use the "Add an attachment" link.)
