I'm using Mageia 5 (the fork of Mandriva).
Kernel I'm using is 4.1.0-desktop-1.mga5 which I built using their own src.rpm
and the reason that I built a newer kernel than the official one is that I've
had this issue before using my kernel.
I'm using KDE4.
Not using any Testing or Backports-medias.
Pulseaudio-version is 5.0.0-6 according to pulseaudio -v
If I start to play any audio in VLC or directly from any browser & if I connect
my headphones to the audio jack in my Toshiba Satellite L755-1DR (PSK2YE) that
works fine, but the first time that I unplug the headphones from the jack I get
no sound from the laptop speakers.
I then rightclick the volume icon and choose Sound settings.
Now, if I check the tab called Hardware settings I see that the Sound card
field seems to be correct (GF108 High Definition Audio Controller), but Profile
is set to Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output and to my knowledge I don't have any
HDMI connected to my laptop so it seems odd for me that Pulseaudio wants to
switch to that.
If I change the Sound card field to Built-in Audio and change the Plug-field in
Device settings to Speakers I get sound from the laptop speakers again.
