I disagree that this is a regression - the phantom internal speaker is a bug
caused by lower layers (ALSA/BIOS/hw). We should not revert the change when it
improves routing in several other scenarios; as we would then regress those
scenarios instead.
Also, I'm far from confident that what you're proposing won't cause regressions
in some other scenario.</pre>
