You already agreed that it's a valid thing to expect HDMI continue working
after display going to sleep. That use case worked before, now it doesn't work.
Clearly a regression.
It's true that reverting the patch in 9.0 will cause a regression for those
users who liked the new feature in 8.0, but the thing is that the patch should
never have been applied in the first place.
