[pulseaudio-discuss] Strange problem with pulseaudio 0.9.11

To clarify (as if anybody could have doubts), it was 0.9.11
all the time, it was simply a case of spending too much time
on complaining on 'hal on Gentoo'.

In this attempt I added '--start' to init script parameters,
and the pid problem went away.
The terminating problem seems to come from the fact, that
while docs claim exit-idle-time defaults to -1,
daemon seems to think otherwise.

Now, the next problem is that for some reason alsa plugin doesn't seem
to work.
Let audacious be the test case, then for native pulse output is:
Jul 27 14:14:16 [pulseaudio] client.c: Created 5 "Native client (UNIX
socket client)"
Jul 27 14:14:16 [pulseaudio] protocol-native.c: Got credentials: uid=0

Jul 27 14:14:16 [pulseaudio] protocol-native.c: Final latency 460,00 ms = 210,00 ms + 2*20,00 ms + 210,00 ms
(sound is fine), however if the sound is alsa, output is:

(and no sound).

And BTW, CC me, cause while subscribed, I've got delivery disabled.
