[pulseaudio-discuss] Cannot have iec958:0 and a52:0 simultaneously?

aplay -L:
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 0: ALC889A Analog [ALC889A Analog]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: NVidia [HDA NVidia], device 1: ALC889A Digital [ALC889A Digital]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 2: HDMI [HDA ATI HDMI], device 3: ATI HDMI [ATI HDMI]
  Subdevices: 1/1
  Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

cat /proc/asound/pcm:
00-00: ALC889A Analog : ALC889A Analog : playback 1 : capture 1
00-01: ALC889A Digital : ALC889A Digital : playback 1 : capture 1
00-02: ALC889A Analog : ALC889A Analog : capture 2
01-00: USB Audio : USB Audio : capture 1
02-03: ATI HDMI : ATI HDMI : playback 1

I think I have confirmed my theory by putting "card { @func iadd integers [
$CARD -2 ] }"
This subtracted 2 from the input, so a52:2 mapped to card 0.

Any ideas why Pulse requires incrementing %f?

Cheers,
Mike

You seem to have an odd hardware configuration. Can you provide the
output of aplay -l?
