[pulseaudio-discuss] Finding culprit of Flash + PulseAudio remote problem, level: extreme

Hi all,

we are experiencing problems with PulseAudio and Adobe Flash on Windows when
transmitting sound to a remote machine.

The playback will be all choppy/distorted and stuttery.

Interestingly, PA 0.9.6 does *not* have this problem. It seems to have been
introduced between 0.9.6 and 1.1.

Now, I'm having a hard time tracking this down. Bisecting is just impossible, as
0.9.6 (or rather a specific revision/commit) and the 1.1 tag will compile (with
minor edits), but other tags in-between like 0.9.20 or 0.9.11 won't (maybe with
big luck and huge editing and time consumption).

A diff between 1e12e0ee8dfdda1632b9c082aba6fc1956813a5b and 1.1 has over 300,000
lines, so that doesn't sound too practical either.

Do you have any ideas/suggestions what could have introduced the problem, or at
least how to tackle this?
