If you want a solution that &#39;just works&#39;, then either log off your<br>
primary display, or use a separate user with a separate GNOME profile.<br>

<br></blockquote><div><br>I am not logged in twice. I don&#39;t know how it used to be before, but Gnome 2.26 and 2.28 in that case simply present GDM login screen only on the monitor and when I log in 2 instances of Gnome DE appear on both screens. When I log off from the monitor, TV also gets logged out. <br>
