You mean that when having silence, since there is no change, there is no necessity to be updating the content of the output stream, don't you??? And if so, is there any way of modifying this?? I have been looking into the source code, but I am not able to locate where to configure this block size so it will not make difference between the cases of having silence and having sound.<br>

</div>To minimize wakeups we increase our block size when noone requested<br>
anything particularly low. Minimizing wakeups minimizes power<br>
consumption.<br>
