I've partially solved this. The problem was that I statically configured alsa-sinks on <a href="http://default.pa">default.pa</a>, and then the udev module failed to read correctly my first device. I think that when I configured it on <a href="http://default.pa">default.pa</a> by hand, the udev module just picked the digital profile, that I hadn't configured, and the analog source (my mic) was ignored altogether. Just commented the alsa sink and let the udev module populate PA with my devices. Claudio Roberto França Pereira (a.k.a. A screenshot of the KDE System Settings priority list GUI might help ensure that it's hooked up to PA properly too.
