Ready to Create Branch

We're getting ready to do a release.

The branching scheme is based on the *BSD model. I think it's described 
on the xorg wiki. You do your work on a branch and when every agrees 
it's ready then you merge it to current.

There's no particular good or bad time to make a branch. Now is as good 
a time as any.
