Thanks for the info, that'll save me wasting time tackling it only to 
hit a roadblock.

How about applying the GMemChunk to g_slice patch to cvs? Would you 
prefer some autoconf magic to conditionally use g_slice on glib >= 2.10?

I did get things to compile and run on fc5 (w/ mysql 5.x embedded), but 
the window that opens seems mostly non-functional. I'll dig into the 
code a little more when I have time to see if I can get some things 
enabled, for example importing map data would be handy. :-)

What is the status of roadster? Development seems to have been pretty 
dead for a while. I read somewhere that you were out of the country for 
a while and likely wouldn't be doing any development. The screenshots 
look great and I would love to see roadster progress (no offense to 
roadnav and other alternatives).
