[SCIM] Smart Chinese IM and Supported locale

Hi everybody here !

I'm currently testing SCIM which seems great
(I was using Chinput for a couple of years)

But I can't get the "supported locale" feature to work.

Since I am French, (almost) all my desktop is in French with fr_FR.UTF-8 
as the default locale.
But I need a Chinese input method for my studies.

this feature would allow me to stop swapping locale all the time, looks 
great !

...but it don't seems to work.

I just used scim-setup and put fr_FR.UTF-8 instead of Default in the 
Supported Locales edit box. Then killed and restarted scim and 
scim-panel-gtk

But it still need a zh_CN.UTF-8 locale setting to work.. :-(
