Sorry, wrong bug number :-(

Resend to keep the bug record correctly.

----------------

Hi SCIM upstream folks,

Christian (original Debian bug reporter) reported as:
   http://bugs.debian.org/280661

I have done some check and found following wishlist issues with SCIM
which may be nice if fixed. Since his report is not specific, let me
follow-up with specifics.

When cursor key is used under gnumeric while SCIM panel is open with
method such as:
 * UIM-m17n-pa-itrans
 * UIM-m17n-ru-yawerty
 * М17N-ru-yawerty
 * Yawerty
 ... (Many methods except Japanese ones ...)

The cell data in the gnumeric is overwritten and erased. (DATA LOSS)

This does not semm to be nice thing to happen.

I know this can be easily avoided by turning off SCIM panel with
CTRL-SPACE before using the cursors. But for user convienience, it is
one of the *FEATURE* I request as wishlist to SCIM.

(If this is gnumeric problem on Debian, let us know.)

Regards,

Osamu

PS: No real damage to BTS since it was wishlist bug.
