Hi Kris,

I don't know if this will be any help, but thought I should give it a try.

Have you gotten the scim-tables app? You need this before you can get 
the whole SCIM suite working.

If you have installed that, have you tried going into the SCIM 
configuration window and checking off the input methods you want to use?

Other than this, I don't know, but I wanted to at least try.
