Hi,
I just encountered a problem after installing scim. The man pages display UTF8 character codes instead of some characters as shown below. I was wondering if anybody encountered this problem before and found a solution. I am using the slackware distribution of Linux and scim 1.0.1. Thanks a lot,
Amish

For a man page that does not exist, i get this type of line:

lld ???????

For a LDD man page:
LDD(1) LDD(1)

NAME
ldd <E2><88><92> print shared library dependencies
OPTIONS
       <E2><88><92<E2><88><92>V <E2><88><92<E2><88><92><E2><88><92<E2><88><92>version
Print the version number of ldd.

       <E2><88><92<E2><88><92>v <E2><88><92<E2><88><92><E2><88><92<E2><88><92>verbose
Print all information, including e.g. symbol versioning informa<C2><AD>
              tion.
