             Bug #: 44299
Summary: Windows hangs on bootup when using QXL with
                    virtio-serial
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: Spice
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86 (IA32)
        OS/Version: Windows (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: medium
         Component: win32 qxl
        AssignedTo: spice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
        ReportedBy: freedesktop.org at stefan-neufeind.de

Tested with WinXP, 32-bit (for running some older stuff)

Providing the VM with either only a QXL-interface *or* the
virtio-serial-channel works. But trying to activate both fails on next reboot
(early during Windows logo-screen).

Unfortunately the downgrade to vioserial-win-1.1.16.zip Hans described in the
above mentioned thread didn't work out for me. I made sure to rebuild after
uninstall, after installing the virtio-driver (and double-checked it had a date
from mid-2010) etc. but adding QXL and rebooting it hung.
