Have you tried this with the gtk-client as well? The underlying problem is that
we stop getting the movement event once the cursor leaves the first window,
i.e. the window where the click occurred. I'm not sure this is fixable without
creating a new invisible window on top of all the windows and using that to
catch events, I think that's what is generally done (with compositing managers
for instance), but I'm no X guru.
