[Spice-devel] Multihead with Windows 7 Guest: second GPU "cannot start"

Hi

I'm running the debian experimental packaged qemu-kvm (0.15.0+dfsg-2,
with spice support), and inside it, Windows 7 with the latest version
of the QXL driver binaries from the spice-space.org downloads page.
I'm using the Windows spice client, on Windows Vista.

I converted from my old cirrus display device to qxl without issues --
although I noticed some animations (when running spice + cirrus) were
upside-down.

When I added a second qxl device, it showed up in Device Manager, but
with a yellow-triangle icon and a device status of "This device cannot
start.".

I'm running kvm via libvirt, my command line is

/usr/bin/kvm -S -M pc-0.14 -enable-kvm -m 6000 -smp
2,sockets=2,cores=1,threads=1 -name mabel -uuid
b1238ef5-e654-11c3-c846-39eb99b8860a -nodefconfig -nodefaults -chardev
socket,id=charmonitor,path=/var/lib/libvirt/qemu/mabel.monitor,server,nowait
-mon chardev=charmonitor,id=monitor,mode=control -rtc base=localtime
-no-shutdown -drive
file=/dev/vgglub/mabel,if=none,id=drive-virtio0-0-0,format=raw -device
virtio-blk-pci,drive=drive-virtio0-0-0,id=virtio0-0-0,bootindex=1
-drive if=none,media=cdrom,id=drive-ide0-1-0,readonly=on,format=raw
-device ide-drive,bus=ide.1,unit=0,drive=drive-ide0-1-0,id=ide0-1-0
-netdev tap,fd=22,id=hostnet0 -device
e1000,netdev=hostnet0,id=net0,mac=52:54:00:bb:79:bb,bus=pci.0,multifunction=on,addr=0x6.0x0
-chardev pty,id=charserial0 -device
isa-serial,chardev=charserial0,id=serial0 -usb -device
usb-tablet,id=input0 -spice port=5922,addr=127.0.0.1 -vga qxl -global
qxl-vga.vram_size=33554432 -device
qxl,id=video1,vram_size=67108864,bus=pci.0,multifunction=on,addr=0x7.0x0
-device intel-hda,id=sound0,bus=pci.0,multifunction=on,addr=0x4.0x0
-device hda-duplex,id=sound0-codec0,bus=sound0.0,cad=0 -device
virtio-balloon-pci,id=balloon0,bus=pci.0,multifunction=on,addr=0x5.0x0

Is this a known problem? What can I do to diagnose it?

thanks

donald
