This plugin (spice-x) is still closed-source AFAIK, am I right Arnon?

There is source tarball of Spice XPI on spice-space.org, but I have no
idea if it even builds on Windows (but IIRC it uses hardcoded paths to
spice client binary so at least this must be patched).

It is used exactly as you intend - it runs spice client while hiding
low-level stuff like certs etc from user.
