Regardless of Spice, if you have hundreds of guests you need a way
    to manage them.
Please see Foreman (http://theforeman.org/) for example on how you
CAN manage xorg.conf for hundreds of guests.
> Hi,
> I'm facing the problem with video resolution for
            Ubuntu 11.04 Guest
> connected with Spice 0.9.1.
> Max resolution is 1024x768 even with latest qxl
            driver

I managed to get a larger resolution by specifying a
            Viewport setting in
xorg.conf, I used the 11.04 livecd (amd64):

Section "Device"
  Identifier "qxl"
  Driver "qxl"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
  Identifier "screen"
  Device "qxl"
  SubSection "Display"
    Virtual 1920 1200
  EndSubSection
EndSection

> "xserver-xorg-video-qxl 0.0.12-1ubuntu4" installed.

This is pretty old. Also, I can't find a spice agent package
            - if it
isn't packaged you won't have clipboard, automatic
            resolution change.

> Can you please tell how can I get resolutions beyond
            1024x768 for
> Ubuntu guest?
> Appreciated your help in advance.
> Thanks,
