Hi Klaus<div><br></div><div>I am also having trouble with a windows 7 guest when I install guest-tools.</div><div><br></div><div>I'm using some software called Altium Designer which "freezes" when I have guest-tools installed.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I then installed just the win-qlx-debug driver and now, rather then freezing, the windows 7 guest "blue screens" and I get a dump file.</div><div><br></div><div>No idea if the issues are related, just wanted to add the experience in case it helps solve the issue.</div>

One difference I saw was that the balloon service was active which wasn't the case with 0.2.<br>
I removed the service and will see what happens now...<br>

Just one additional information about that.<br>
I have one host that uses<br>

> spice-0.12.0<br>
> spice-protocol-0.12.2<br>
> usbredir-0.4.4<br>
and this system runs with a Windows 7 spice guest now for 6 month without any crash/problem.<br>

On the client side it uses<br>
> virt-viewer 0.5.3<br>
(can't remember spice-gtk version right now)<br>

The spice guest tools version.txt was "virtio-win 0.1.30" (don't know which version this was).<br>
I upgraded now to version 0.52.<br>
Will report if there's any issue now with 0.52.<br>
