I installed swfdec and the Firefox plugin on a PPC machine today and
documented the steps. I realise that since it is currently targetted at
developers you might not want install steps on your website of course, but in
case it is useful you can find it here. (Permission granted for the swfdec
project to use however they like etc etc.)

Looks nice, if you now registered yourself on the Swfdec Wiki and added them (with a link from the frontpage), that would be awesome. There's always people who want to test the Git version.
Although I guess you're right that the number of people building Swfdec will be reduced pretty soon when it hits Gutsy. It's already in Debian unstable after all.

For your interest, with the current 0.43 build:

It compiles with no errors.
Installs fine.
Works with simple flash.
Does not work with the Macromedia installation test website (black screen).
Does not work with Youtube (displays controls but jumps to end screen).

It does work with Youtube, but only if you make sure that the Youtube URL does not contain any additional stuff. IE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j_Y-dDzvGY
works, but
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j_Y-dDzvGY&mode=related&search=
does not. That's a bug I figured out an hour ago. It's fixed in Git.

Works with flashblock :)

Pffft. :p
I don't think there's a need for Flashblock with Swfdec. At least that's one of my goals and the reason for why Flashs in Swfdec start paused.

Thank you for all the work you have put into it.

Thank you for the encouragement.

Cheers,
Benjamin
