It was easier to track down the cause than I thought it would be. I just looked
through the commits that affected the nspawn src dir between v217 and v218 for

commit 023fb90b83871a15ef7f57e8cd126e3426f99b9e
Author: Lennart Poettering <lennart@poettering.net>
Date: Fri Oct 31 16:54:11 2014 +0100

ptyforward: rework PTY forwarder logic used by nspawn to utilize the normal
event loop

Before this commit it works perfectly fine, and after it, it fails when using
jenkins.
