Yeah, sure, we all know how these things work, and no problem with that.

There are many systems out there which don't support VTs but also
don't pretend to have them, and have only serial lines or special
interfaces. That is all well supported already.

A tty0 device has special semantics, providing it means supporting it,
and that comes with ioctl()s, corresponding files in /sys,
/dev/vcs(a), TERM=linux and so on. It's just not right to fake a tiny
part of something and hope all will work out. :)
